Laura has been working in education for twenty years, and leads on digital learning, 1:1 devices in the classroom, and digital wellbeing at Berkhamsted. She is passionate about developing innovative and inspirational practice, creating supportive learning communities, and bringing people together as high-functioning teams to influence positive change. She runs a staff innovation think tank, and she chairs the standing committee for equality, diversity, and inclusion at Berkhamsted that she founded in 2019. Laura teaches ICT/ Computing, PSHE, and Modern Languages, and leads programmes on diversity and public speaking. She is a French specialist and was previously Head of Modern Languages at Berkhamsted, where she started in 2010. Before that, she worked in comprehensive schools as a French and Spanish teacher and a middle leader, and in Paris as a EFL teacher.
Laura was awarded a Masters in Educational Leadership from University of Buckingham and a Level 7 Apprenticeship in Senior Leadership in 2020. She is a Fellow of the Chartered College of Teaching, a Fellow of the RSA and a CEOP Ambassador. In 2022, Laura became Chair of ISC Digital. She is passionate about serving the community of ISC Schools and their partners, and supporting their journeys with innovation, strategy and change.
