At Oxford High School, we empower every student to forge their own path to go beyond. They are curious, outward-looking and sparky; they delight in learning and questioning and fearlessly pursue their passions. Whether a 6th Former organising a nationwide virtual conference or a Year 7 in their very first leadership role, our students take every opportunity to realise their aspirations. In the 2023 inspection, the school was rated as ‘excellent' in all areas.

Our Learning Support Department's team of specialist teachers are actively involved in promoting neurodiversity within the school and offer individual support and teaching to students with a wide range of additional learning needs, including those students who require support for English as an Additional Language (EAL). Weekly one-to-one lessons take place during a student's study period or during the lunch hour, and the new Learning Support Room offers a tranquil and welcoming space for our SEND students. Learning Support tuition includes strategy and skills instruction with the aim of developing independent learners who are able to self-advocate. The department also carries out assessments for access arrangements and provides opportunities for those students eligible for access arrangements to practise them prior to examinations.
