We are centrally located in the heart of England, and have been providing high quality boarding education for over thirty five years, founded in 1977. The College is situated in the market town of Northampton which is one hour by train from London. The College has a cosmopolitan community of British students working alongside both European and international students, with a positive attitude towards their education, a well-structured but friendly atmosphere and a comfortable learning environment. We are currently home to just over 315 students of which 256 are international boarders.

Accommodation and care

Our College accommodation is single sex and fully supervised providing spacious rooms and the option of twin shared or single occupancy. All junior houses have their own common room, each with internet and the accommodation is within a short walk of the main teaching building. A school uniform is not required, but along with other rules regarding behaviour we do have a ‘dress code’. Meals are taken in our large restaurant where we typically provide a choice of four different meals, catering for all dietary needs.

Facilities

We have three main buildings that are home to the teaching and other activities; Nazareth House, Queen’s and Bosworth Hall, between them we have the following areas: 2 study halls, 50+ classrooms, 9 science labs, student common rooms, 2 ICT rooms, art room, music room, activities room, exam room, dance studio, restaurant and bistro, meeting room and main hall. Our accommodation consists of six large supervised boarding houses and 20 senior houses. We own all of our estate and manage it in-house.

Extracurricular activities

Students have the opportunity to choose from a variety of activities for enrichment, which is timetabled once a week, activities differ each year, but include: art, chess, Chinese, cooking, cross stitch/beadcraft, debating, film club, guitar, IT, knitting, photography, running, Spanish and yoga. Sport is also on offer six times a week and we offer: football, volleyball, basketball, badminton, table tennis, self-defence and yoga. We have also Saturday trips that students can sign up for independently these have included; Warwick Castle, Cambridge, Oxford, Stratford-Upon-Avon, Paintballing, Theatre and Go-Karting.

Continuation of Scholarship Awards depends upon performance in examinations. For example, a very strong performance in GCSE mock examinations will usually lead to a Scholarship Award for entry to A-level or level 3 Business BTEC.

Eligibility for Bursary support is means-tested on application and offered for one academic year in the first instance.
