Bancroft’s offers means tested Assisted Places to pupils entering the School at 11+ and 16+. In addition, we offer two Means tested Awards for pupils entering the Prep School at 7+ which lasts while the child is at the Prep School only.

We have no separate exams for Assisted Places but all awards are given on the basis of performance in Bancroft’s own entrance exams and in interview. Parents/guardians of children who are applying for an Assisted Place  are required to complete a confidential, comprehensive statement of finances. The value of Assisted Places is reassessed every year.

Potential music award holders are also auditioned and need to have reached a certain grade level in their chosen instruments.

Scholarships & Bursaries offered

  • Music scholarships
  • Bursaries for new entrants
