Welcome to Clarity Independent School. We are an open-hearted, nurturing and academically challenging special needs school, for children with complex learning difficulties and barriers to learning yet are academically able to achieve qualifications, given the right support. We support children mainly needing a quiet environment, who may be impacted by ASD, ADHD, social emotional and mental health issues (e.g. anxiety) and behaviour challenges that are relating to their special needs.

Additional Information

Clarity Independent School is a special needs school for children aged between 6 and 16 years, who have an EHCP and are referred from the Local Authority.

We cater mainly for children needing a quiet, nurturing environment, struggling with a range of difficulties, such as:

Autism

ADHD

Cognitive and learning needs

SpLD (specific learning difficulties) e.g. dyslexia, memory / processing difficulties, auditory processing difficulties etc.

MLD (moderate learning difficulties)

Behavioural, emotional and social development needs (relating to their SEN

Communication and interaction needs, speech and language communication needs

Sensory and physical needs

Physical disability and long term illness needing extra nurture before returning to mainstream

We offer a broad, balanced curriculum including the core subjects, humanities, arts, and three languages. We also offer speech and language therapy, occupational therapy and weekly counselling sessions, all with accredited, qualified professionals. The children love going to their weekly bushcraft lessons at Danbury Outdoors, along with their weekly swimming and guitar lessons.
