Port Regis is one of the country’s leading co-educational day and boarding schools for children aged two to thirteen. A school in which tradition and innovation have gone hand-in-hand for more than a century, we provide a thoughtful, rounded education that enables children to thrive. This education goes well beyond our beautiful buildings and outstanding facilities – it is rooted in our culture and values.
Open-Minded, Warm-Hearted, Bold-Spirited and Vibrantly-Cultured. Port Regis provides a place for every child. Here they are supported to try everything, given confidence to explore their talents, recognised for their achievements and celebrated in their individual successes, whatever they may be.
As one parent said in a guide last year “If anyone is going to bring out what your child is good at, Port Regis will”.
SEND
We have a well-resourced department of experienced and highly qualified specialist teachers as well as a Speech and Language Therapist. We support children with speech and language difficulties as well as those with dyslexia, dyspraxia, ADD, memory difficulties and auditory and visual processing difficulties.
Our team of specialists offer personalised, differentiated support programmes to ensure that every child develops the strategies needed to overcome any weaknesses and attain the skill sets needed to do well at prep school level and beyond. The School adopts a holistic approach and our Learning Support staff work closely with subject teachers and pastoral staff. As well as working on any specific needs that have been highlighted, we also strive to build a child’s self-esteem and confidence and to capitalise on their strengths.
