Repton Prep is a boarding and day prep school with over 400 pupils, aged 3 to 13, set in the 55-acre grounds of an 18th century Palladian mansion in South Derbyshire. As a school we believe that the most valuable education is one that is broad and balanced, enabling children to enjoy their childhood, whilst benefiting from a wonderful range of opportunities both in and out of the classroom.

The Learning Enhancement Department offers in-class support, 1:1 and joint specialist support for specific difficulties or curriculum needs. We take a graduated approach and aim to put in place intervention as early as possible. Working with classroom staff we ensure that quality teaching supports the work we do.
The department provides a number of reasonable adjustments, often taught by specialist staff to promote our policy of early intervention. These support children with learning to read and early basic skills. The Learning Enhancement Assistants (LEAs) work with and supplement these reasonable adjustments and this allows for excellent communication between the LE department and the class teachers.
Parents can access individual bespoke lessons and assessments, including Speech & Language Therapy, for their child conveniently in school. This allows them to receive specialist support for specific difficulties. We are able to offer this due to the highly trained teachers being employed within the LE Department and collaboration with external professionals.
