Heathfield School in Ascot, Berkshire, is a leading independent girls’ school offering an exceptional education for girls aged 11-18. The school is set in 36 acres of beautiful grounds just 30 miles from central London, close to major transport hubs in and around the capital including Heathrow Airport.
It offers full and weekly boarding - including an exciting programme of weekend activities – and day places.
The school has a fine history stretching back to 1899 when it was founded by an early female education pioneer Miss Eleanor Wyatt with the intention that London girls could come to Ascot for an education ‘so they would know what it is to see the sky’. Since then the school has educated thousands of young women from the UK and overseas and has become recognised as one of the finest girls’ schools in the UK with a reputation for outstanding pastoral care and excellent exam results.
Famous alumnae include the award-winning actress Sienna Miller, interior designer Nina Campbell and former Chief Executive of Jimmy Choo Tamara Mellon.
The school is nationally famous for its award-winning Art and Design Department and a state of the art STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Maths) facility which was opened by world-renowned scientist Lord Robert Winston.
Past pupils have gone on to study Chemistry at Oxford, acting at RADA, Photography in New York, a doctorate in Philosophy at UCL and Engineering at Northeastern, Boston.
In 2021, every student moved onto their first choice of university, the majority of them to Russell Group universities, with over 63% taking the top A*-A grades.
Heathfield is the only school in the UK to enjoy a Creative Partnership with Falmouth School of Art and a unique Collaborative Agreement with Parsons, Paris. Heathfield students also enjoy the benefits of our strong relationship with London College of Fashion.
On the sporting field, Heathfield competes successfully in a variety of sports including Lacrosse, Netball, Athletics, Swimming, Tennis and Equestrian disciplines including Polo. At team and individual level, Heathfield girls have had county, regional and national success.
Sporting facilities are first class and include a swimming pool complex, sports hall and fitness studio.
The school also has a professional standard theatre which reflects the strong dramatic and musical tradition of the school. An annual school production involves the majority of the school with regular Music and Drama concerts throughout the year and an biennial fashion show.
Termly open days are held and private visits can also be arranged. Please contact admissions@heathfieldschool.net.
