Work with us to give every child a 'great education', ISC CEO tells Labour

Speaking to The Telegraph, chief executive of the ISC Julie Robinson said she is aware of the concerns about how an "unprecedented" tax on education could affect affordability for families.

Amid reports that parents are remortgaging their homes to raise money for school fees over fears surrounding the potential impact of Labour's tax pledge, Ms Robinson said: "It is possible that stories such as these will become more common and independent education less accessible as a result of VAT on fees.

"We are happy to work with Labour on better ways of reaching our shared goal of a great education for every child."
