Today's referendum result is a historic moment and we're already beginning to see political and economic reaction.

The independent schools sector is used to adapting to change and is alert to the potential consequences of the EU vote.

With a move away from the European Union we will expect, in time, to see changes to legislation which are specifically relevant to schools. It is especially likely this will concern international pupils in our schools.

At this time of uncertainty schools will be sensitive to the needs of their pupils and parents. All will continue to focus on their pupils’ welfare and delivery of the best possible education.

The Independent Schools Council will continue to work with policy makers to contribute to and reflect on relevant changes to policy and legislation as they unfold.
