ISC CEO highlights fears over pupils set to be displaced by the VAT on fees policy

Chief executive of the ISC Julie Robinson has raised concerns over the availability of state school places for children at risk of being displaced from the independent sector due to Labour's tax policy.

Speaking to Channel 4 News as part of an in-depth item exploring VAT on school fees, Ms Robinson said: “While there may be general capacity for pupils, there is still concern about the right spaces in the right places being available for children displaced from their school by a tax on education.

“We are already hearing stories of families having issues in this regard, particularly owing to the rushed January implementation of the policy.”
