St Edward's is a fully co-educational boarding and day school which occupies 100 glorious acres in the north of Oxford. The school makes the most of its location – pupils have access to lectures from world-class academics and opportunities to explore the city's colleges, museums and theatres. St Edward's offers both IB and A Level alongside each other at Sixth Form, and in our Middle School programme we have introduced optional new courses to stretch our candidates at GCSE level.

St Edward's is a refreshingly different kind of school. The deliberate emphasis on a broad range of academic abilities on entry means that the community fizzes with diverse interests and enthusiasms. At the upper end, 90% of our top pupils gain the highest grades in their Sixth Form exams and take up places at the world's best universities – a record which exceeds the outcomes of many highly selective schools.
Academic work is unquestionably the most important part of our pupils' education, but at Teddies there is so much more to school life. Talented scholars, musicians, sportswomen and men, performers, dancers, humanitarians, adventurers, entrepreneurs, filmmakers and artists – among many others – live and work together, inspire each other, and become lifelong friends.
Innovative teaching delivers energy and vitality to the classroom, whilst collaborative learning is the lifeblood of the St Edward's curriculum. In the Sixth Form, pupils are in the rare position of being able to choose between A Levels and the IB Diploma, enabling pupils to work to their strengths and specific goals.
Beyond School, pupils enjoy being part of the wider community of Oxford, a beautiful, culturally sophisticated university city offering tangible connections to the real world. It is an exciting and trans-formative combination.
Set in 100 acres of North Oxford, the School is made up of 13 Houses, five for girls, seven for boys, and a new co-ed House which will fully open in 2020. Construction has also begun on the most significant project at the School for over 100 years. The Quad Development will create a new Study Centre, Library and Hall, all of which will be complete by 2020.
For pupils joining us in the coming years, the new facilities will be a defining feature of their academic studies at St Edward’s.
'St Edward's is a place of strong and growing academic ambition. We are about to cast that ambition in brick, stone and glass.' - Chris Jones, Chair of Governors
